Quite concerned about the new variant that it will overwhelm understaffed U.S. hospitals the US federal officials are setting shorter covid-19 Isolation rule for the health care workers. The US official have made the period of ten days if they test positive for covid-19.
Those workers will be allowed to return to work after seven days if they test negative and are asymptomatic. According to the guidelines released by US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Board the federal officials may reduce the Isolation period up-to five days or even fewer if the US hospitals face severe staff shortages.
The CDC has advised first day of Isolation must be considered wherein the patient faces symptoms or the day after the person tests positive. If the symptoms are seen after few days of Isolation the quarantine period will restart from the day when the person developed symptoms.
