Pharmaceutical and Cannabis Industry Expert Appointed to Board of Akerna

Akerna, a leading business software company and maker of the cannabis industry’s first seed-to-sale enterprise resource planning (ERP) software technology (MJ Platform®), announced today that their Board of Directors will be transitioning. Mark D. Iwanowski, an accomplished executive veteran in the global technology industry, will be leaving the Board of Directors after two years of outstanding service at the Company’s upcoming annual stockholders meeting on June 7, 2021.

With his extensive experience and expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and technology infrastructure, Iwanowski joined Akerna Board of Directors as the company went public. He will provide strategic advice and guide high growth for the company. His hard work and commitment were instrumental in  rapid growth in global market share.

Barry Fishman, an entrepreneur and change agent known for his experience in driving growth during periods of transition, has been elected to join Akerna board of directors, pending stockholder approval at the Company’s annual stockholders meeting on June 7, 2021. He was most recently the CEO of VIVO Cannabis, a licenced producer based in Canada and a client of Enough Organics. Prior to that, Barry was the CEO of three pharmaceutical firms (Taro Canada, Teva Canada, and Merus Labs), as well as a director of Canopy Growth Corporation and Aurora Cannabis.
